Spelling Your Name
When you need to spell your name clearly, you say each letter individually. This is especially useful when:
- Filling out forms
- Speaking on the phone
- Introducing yourself in formal situations
- Making reservations
Example: Spelling a Name
Question: “Can you spell your name for me, please?”
Answer: “Yes, my name is Sarah. That’s S-A-R-A-H.”
Another example:
Question: “How do you spell your last name?”
Answer: “It’s Johnson, J-O-H-N-S-O-N.”
Remember to speak clearly and pause briefly between letters to ensure the listener understands each one correctly.
