What to know about our free learner account
Our Free Forever account is just that: it's free. Forever. No catch, no risk, no hooks, no nothing. You can use our site for your learning purposes for free. Are there some things you get with a premium account, that you don't get with a free account? Of course. But if you choose to, you can stay on the free account forever.
Here's a breakdown of what you get with a free account - and what you need a premium account to get.
As a teacher you have a free teacher account
it's always free - you'll never have to pay. In order to set up an account, we run an onboarding online meet - which will take about 30 minutes. We don't establish teacher accounts without an onboarding chat, because we need to show you how to use the system, and answer the questions you'll no doubt have.
Why is your account free?
Here's how it works. Your account is free; if you want to add students - either an individual student or a class of students - you send us their names and email addresses, and we set up a student, or a class of students, that belong to you. These student accounts are paid (but come with a free 30 day trial, so everyone can test this out without risk).
We do it this way so that there's a freedom in who pays for the students to learn using our system - either:
- The school that you work for pays
- The language school that you teach for pays
- The parents of the student(s) pay
- The students themselves pay
- You pay (if for example you're an independent language trainer) and you fold the cost of the learner account into what you charge the student for your lessons
- If you (or your school) wish to discuss this with us, we're more than happy to advise you and to help you decide on the best payment option
...this way you (the teacher) are free to use the system, to experiment, to test things out, etc, without it costing you anything.
Note that your account gives you automatic access to our Skool teacher community where you can trade ideas with other teachers and trainers and so on; and where we offer regular webinars and tutorials on teaching (not only using our system, but also things like how to get started teaching, how to find teaching jobs, new approaches to teaching grammar or business presentations or whatever...)
This system has been put together and developed by me (Noel Maurice) - I've been a language trainer for over 15 years, and I know the needs and problems and stresses that come up as a trainer and teacher; and its development is aided by advice and guidance from other teaching professionals. We're here to make your life as a teacher or trainer easier, more fun, and more effective, while also providing a community of fellow teachers and trainers.
